Rob is Group Chief Risk Officer and Head of Compliance at Beazley plc - a Lloyd's managing agent. Over the last 13 years, and before his current role, Rob worked in the internal audit departments of Aviva, Zurich Financial Services and Allianz. He worked at the FSA for five years, four of which were in the (then) regulator's internal audit division. In his fifth year, he was Head of Department for Regulatory Transactions in the Authorisations Division.

Pauline Miller is Chief Equity Officer EMEA for global advertising agency dentsu. In this position Pauline is responsible for shaping and leading the DEI strategy and execution across the region, reports to the CEO and is a member of the EMEA Executive committee.

Prior to dentsu, Pauline held the position of Head of Culture at Lloyd’s of London and during her tenure held responsibilities spanning culture, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, wellbeing, leadership and talent development and responsible business.

With more than two decades of experience across DEI and HR, Pauline is highly regarded as a change agent and expert in her field. Prior to Lloyd’s Pauline held a variety of positions at State Street, Barclays Wealth, Barclays Capital and Starcom Mediavest Group.

Pauline is emeritus advisory board member for the UN Foundation’s Girl Up and is a current trustee for Romildamor, a women’s rights organisation. Pauline completed her MSc in Occupational and Business Psychology in 2020, researching the barriers for progression for women in the insurance sector with a paper titled “The Missing Female CEO”.

Dominic is Deputy Group CFO at McGill & Partners, having joined in March 2022.  Dominic has over twenty years’ experience in the (re)insurance industry, beginning his career with Benfield Group in 1998 and continuing with Aon after the acquisition of Benfield in 2008.  Dominic initially joined the finance team in the Accounts Payable department, completed his accountancy (ACCA) exams,  and held various finance positions including global head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) until the acquisition of Benfield by Aon in 2008.

From 2009, Dominic worked in regional leadership roles including; Aon Benfield EMEA Finance Director (2009-2010); Aon Benfield International CFO (2010-2014); Deputy CFO for Risk Solutions (2014-2016); Chief of Staff to Greg Case, CEO, Aon plc (2016-2019 – relocated to Chicago, US); UK CFO and CFO Human Capital Solutions (2019-2022)

Maxine Goddard

Maxine Goddard is SVP, Strategic Distribution and Development for Global Markets at Sompo International with over 20 years’ international experience across insurance, banking, oil and gas, and the United Nations. Prior to her role at Sompo, Maxine was the global Head of Sales Operations & Planning at Zurich Insurance and led the delivery of various strategic initiatives before joining Sompo International in 2021.

Maxine is an award-winning champion for greater inclusivity across the insurance industry. She also sits on the Advisory Board of the ISC Group as a champion for gender balance and also sits on the Executive Committee of the industry-wide Insurance Cultural Awareness Network (iCAN), as an Advisory Board Member. Maxine is very active in D&I within the insurance industry, and is a regular public speaker on race and ethnicity. Her work across the insurance industry involves raising awareness of the challenges faced by Persons of Colour from recruitment through to career development and senior progression; and their exit. Her work involves holding listening sessions, focus groups while educating middle management, hiring managers and external recruiters and broadly garnering C-Suite executive sponsorship. This enabled her to get over 50 C-Suite executives to volunteer as mentors to a range of BME employees. She chaired the Annual Diversity Summit for the Association of British Insurers in 2021.

Maxine was the first winner of the Insurance Award as the Race Champion in 2019 and continues to lead challenging discussions with senior leaders breaking down barriers at work for ethnic minorities. She was recently recognised as a 2022 Business Insurance Woman to Watch and was also the winner of the Women in Insurance 2020 Role Model of the Year at the Women In Insurance Awards. She previously chaired the Zurich Cultural Awareness Network and has been key to leading their multicultural D&I strategy including the publication of the Zurich UK ethnicity pay gap report in 2020, the first for the insurance industry.

Abbhi Bala

Finance Director, Capsicum Re (Gallagher)

Abbhi Bala is Finance Director for Gallagher Re, having joined the original Capsicum Re business in April 2015 as a senior business partner before being promoted to her current role 15 months later. A Chartered Accountant since 2011, Abbhi made the move into the insurance industry shortly after qualifying, joining Direct Line Group as a finance business partner in 2012 before her move to the City and Capsicum Re three years later. As FD Abbhi holds overall responsibility for all financial decisions across Gallagher’s reinsurance division, including P&L management, recruitment decisions and approvals, management of complex tax advice and the delivery of complex board presentations as well as financial modelling. A passionate supporter and champion of inclusion and diversity in the workplace, Abbhi is co-founder of the reinsurance division’s Ally-In network and Chair of Gallagher’s UK-wide Multi-Ethnicity Alliance Group.

Chika Aghadiuno

Chika is a Non-Executive Director of the MDU, a leading UK medical defence organisation, and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee for UK Sport. 

Until recently, Chika was the Group Enterprise Risk Director at Aviva where she led a small team of risk experts tasked with looking across Aviva’s global operations and providing insight to key decision makers on strategic proposals plus the key and emerging risks faced by Aviva. During her time at Aviva, she was Trustee Director of the Aviva Staff Pensions Scheme and co-sponsor of Aviva’s BAME Network.

Additionally, Chika is chair of the Diversity Action Group for the UK actuarial profession, and is an advisory board member of RATL, an emerging group of senior insurance leaders of colour promoting racial diversity and inclusivity within the sector. Chika recently completed an Executive MBA at the London Business School.

Suneeta Padda

Suneeta is the founding director of Padda Consulting, she has undertaken and managed a wide range of regulatory engagements for numerous insurance firms, holding senior positions within a number of these firms, previous roles include: Head of Group Compliance and Risk at Howden Broking Group, Head of Compliance for Amlin UK, Interim Head of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at XL Catlin, Interim Head of Compliance at Lloyd’s of London and more recently working with StarStone International as the International Director of Compliance.

Suneeta previous sat on the Independent Women in Insurance Network, she is a member of the Worshipful Company of Insurers and support iCAN Mentors via Inspire’s mentoring initiative.

Vivek Syal

Tokio Marine Kiln

Vivek Syal is Group Chief Risk Officer at Tokio Marine Kiln. 

He joined Tokio Marine Kiln in 2017 from ProSight Specialty Managing Agency Ltd-Syndicate 1110, where he served as Director and CRO and was responsible for both the risk management and actuarial functions. Syal was previously a Senior Technical Specialist at the Bank of England (PRA) and was responsible for overseeing the implementation of Solvency II and setting up a supervisory framework post-SII across both the General and Life Insurance Sectors. Prior to the BoE, Vivek was a Director at PwC and advised a variety of London Market (Lloyd’s / non-Lloyd’s) and Life Insurance firms on their Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Capital Optimisation/Finance Transformation and Solvency II activities across all three Pillars. He started his Insurance career at Brit Insurance, first within their Strategic Change division and then leading their Pillar 1 SII efforts.

Vivek is a Board Executive Director at Tokio Marine Kiln and is responsible for Enterprise Risk Management, Model Validation & Risk Intelligence and Compliance. He graduated in Actuarial Science from Cass Business School, is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and is also a member of the LMA CRO Committee.
